“At about four o’clock in the morning, Jesus came toward them walking on the water” (Matthew 14:25 MSG.
When the disciples where traveling by ship they ran into a storm. “But the boat was already a long distance from the land, battered by the waves; for the wind was contrary” (Matthew 14:24 NAS). They were a long way from where they started and a considerable way to where they were going. They were in the middle of their journey and were struggling and toiling to get their purpose. “He could see his men struggling with the oars, the wind having come up against them. At about four o’clock in the morning, Jesus came toward them, walking on the sea”…(Mark 6;48 MSG). Jesus could have came earlier than 4 o’clock in the morning, but He waited until they exhausted their strength and ready to trust in God’s strength.
Likewise, God waits until we are ready to lean and depend on God’s power and sovereignty. When we are weak and are done with our own plans and agendas, then God kicks in with His plan for our life. God’s grace is then sufficient. “And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me” (2 Corinthians 12:9 NAS). God wants us to learn how to trust Him during the time of transition. “GOD is good, a hiding place in tough times. He recognizes and welcomes anyone looking for help” (Nahum 1:7 MSG).
So, when your life feel like it’s 4’clock in morning and you don’t know what to do, lift your eyes unto the Lord. God is also up at that time ready to help all those who trust in him.. “My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber” (Psalm 121:3-4 NAS).
Lord, I am going to sleep tonight trusting in your plan for my life. You never disappoint me and your promises are always yes and amen. I am going to lean and rely on you God, because I know that you got this. I thank you in advance for a goodnight’s rest and a peaceful sleep. I bless your name for making ways and providing.
Thank you God and Goodnight! Amen
God’s Peace and Good Journey!
