Back in the 1990s, a very popular Sprite commercial for the soft drink soda, had a popular catch phrase. It said, “Image is nothing, thirst is everything.” The commercial culminated with the words, “Obey your thirst, Sprite.”
Is what you’re thirsting for, greater than the image of what you portray? Too many times people would rather look successful, than put in the work to actually be successful. The image you portray, is based on what you imagine in your mind. What do you think about yourself? What is your truth? What is your narrative?
Simply because, the image that you’re reflecting has everything to do with where you’re going. What are you thirsting for? When you thirst for the wrong thing, you end up parched if not dehydrated.
Stop thinking small and start thinking BIG. Do you see yourself achieving and becoming, what you’ve imagined?
If you think little of yourself, you will do little for yourself. If you think much of yourself, you will do much for yourself and others.
Growing up I didn’t think much of myself. My image was distorted because all I saw was the devastation of my situation, being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer…rather than the revelation that “can” is the pre-fix of cancer, which eventually became my mindset for victim.
Real image is not about what you have, real image is about who you are. You can never know who you are, until you know whose you are. Real image is rooted in the fact, that you are created in the image of God.
It’s time to spread your wings and soar into success. Don’t let anybody clip your wings. You’re not a chicken you’re an eagle, you’re not a chump you’re a champion…you’re not a whiner you’re a winner, you’re not a worrier you’re a warrior.
When you know who you are…you’ll realize that IMAGE is everything and when you put your purpose first, you’ll never have to obey your thirst.
