Look I LOVE the Olympics!! Not because of the athleticism, or the superstar Olympians. I love the Olympics because of the extraordinary stories of PHENOMENAL WILL! I have mad respect for many of these athletes that have overcome tremendous obstacles to become Olympians. That’s why I’m focusing on the Olympics this season. In this TGIM, I share Kathleen Baker’s story. She is a swimmer suffering from with Crohn’s disease. She was diagnosed at 12 years old, but still swam, she still wanted to compete despite the pain and discomfort. Not only did she compete, but she set new records at that young age.
Many of you give up so easily. When things get hard, you stop. Listen you are just one more hour of studying away from your breakthrough, one more NO away from your breakthrough, one more phone call away from your breakthrough, but you stopped short. You will never realize your potential if you keep stopping. The difficulty, the pain, the heartache, it’s all there to get you prepared for that next level. STOP STOPPING!! It’s not easy, but if it was, everybody would do it. Stay the course my friends and I’ll see you at the finish line.
