Last week I told you guys to MAKE YOUR MARK on the world, but before you can make your mark you must trust the vision, believe it can happen then go after it with no safety net. I’m sure many of you are working or have worked at a job you didn’t like or maybe you did like it but wanted more. You stay because it’s safe. It’s a guaranteed check every month. You stay in that average relationship because it’s familiar and predictable. You limit your potential, because of the fear of failure. I’m always amazed by the tight rope walkers who fearlessly walk across a rope thousands of feet in the air with NO NET to save them. I have enormous respect for the risk they take. You’re not successful because that safety net is killing you. One of the biggest reasons I made it through the PH.D program was because I told my grandmother I would. By doing that I got rid of THE NET. What is your net? What are the things holding you back from success? How can you get rid of those nets? Who can you make a promise to? Who can hold you accountable for executing? Once you get rid of all these nets your life will go to another level. It’s not easy, but you can do it. It’s your boy ET. See you next week!
